The following is a representative list of HydroGeo's experience in oil and gas related projects:

  • ICF INTERNATIONAL, BLM, ENCANA OIL AND GAS, AND CONOCO PHILLIPS, MONETA DIVIDE OIL AND GAS DEVELOPMENT PROJECT, EIS, Fremont and Natrona Counties, Wyoming. Preparation of the groundwater and surface water sections and development of a sediment model for a large regional oil and gas development project EIS (In Progress)
  • EDGE ENVIRONMENTAL AND BLM, BLACK HILLS OIL AND GAS PROJECT, EIS, Mesa County, Colorado. Preparation of the groundwater and surface water sections of the EA.
  • U.S. BUREAU OF LAND MANAGEMENT, EDGE ENVIRONMENTAL, FRAM OIL AND GAS PROJECT EIS, Mesa and Montrose Counties, Colorado. Preparation of the groundwater and surface water sections of the EIS. (In Progress)
  • U.S. BUREAU OF LAND MANAGEMENT, EDGE ENVIRONMENTAL, GOLDEN EAGLE PROJECT EIS, Green River Wyoming. Preparation of the groundwater and surface water sections of the EIS. (In Progress)
  • EDGE ENVIRONMENTAL AND BLM, PINEDALE ANTICLINE PROJECT, Sublette County, Wyoming. Completed a regional watershed modeling study using the Kinematic Runoff and Erosion Model (KINEROS2) and SWAT (Soil and Water Assessment Tool), developed by the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA). These studies were used to access potential environmental impact for surface water sections of a supplemental Environmental Impact Statement, for the Pinedale field office of the BLM.
  • ANADARKO PETROLEUM CORPORATION, Carbon County, Wyoming. Completed a Surface Water Technical Report for the Hanna Draw Coalbed Natural Gas Pilot Project. The study analyzed potential flow and chemical (salinity) changes to Seminoe Reservoir and the North Platte River resulting from project operations and cumulative impacts from other area projects using a site specific mixing model developed by the EPA. This study will be used to support development of an EIS for the Project.
  • TRC MARIAH AND BLM, JONAH AND SOUTH PINEY PROJECTS, Sublette County, Wyoming. Completed watershed modeling studies using the Kinematic Runoff and Erosion Model (KINEROS2), developed by the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA). These studies were used to access potential environmental impact for surface water sections of two Environmental Impact Statements, for the Pinedale field office of the BLM.
  • TRC MARIAH AND BLM, JONAH OIL & GAS PROJECT, Sublette County, Wyoming. Complete numerical ground water flow model (MODFLOW) to assess potential impacts to the Green River and local water wells due to the projects fresh water pumping.
  • TRC AND EPA, PHOENIX EXPANSION LATERAL PIPELINE PROJECT, Arizona. Completed surface and ground water sections of the Environmental Impact Assessment of this large gas pipeline project for Transwestern Pipeline Company.
  • SHELL EXPLORATION AND DEVELOPMENT COMPANY, WATER TREATMENT SYSTEM ANALYSIS, Sublette County, Wyoming. Completed a critical review of various water treatment system process for oil and gas developments on the Pinedale Anticline.
  • STONE ENERGY CORPORATION, BLM, AND USFS, DUGOUT CANYON PROJECT, Carbon County, Utah. Surface and ground water sections of an Environmental Assessment for a Coal Bed Methane development.
  • WESTPORT RESOURCES CORPORATION, CARDINAL DRAW PROJECT. Draft and Final surface and ground water scetion of the EA. The Bureau of Land Management and Jon Holst and Associates manage this in-progress project.
  • BCR INDUSTRIES, PHASE I AND II SITE INVESTIGATION STUDIES FOR HYDROCARBON CONTAMINATION OF GROUND WATER, Colorado. Performed hydrogeologic site investigation studies and developed monitoring programs for numerous projects concerning volatile organic hydrocarbon (including BTEX) contamination of ground water systems. Clients included Bold Petroleum, Amoco, Texaco, Cheyenne Mountain School District, and other independent operators.
  • BARRETT RESOURCES, HANNA DRAW CBM PROJECT, Wyoming. Completed a hydrogeochemical study and stable isotope analysis to characterize and age date ground and surface water resources in the project area.
  • DUDLEY AND ASSOCIATES, SEMINOE ROAD CBM PROJECT, Wyoming. Completed and developed the project's surface and ground water monitoring program, Water Management Plan, assisted with the NPDES permitting, completed the surface and ground water sections of the Seminoe Road Pilot Project EA, and designed and installed water treatment system.
  • BUREAU OF LAND MANAGEMENT AND SUBLETTE COUNTY, PINEDALE ANTICLNE OIL AND GAS PROJECT, Wyoming. Designed and implemented the hydrologic monitoring program.
  • ENERGY RED WILLOW COMPANY (SOUTHERN UTE TRIBE ENERGY RESOURCE DIVISION), GROUND WATER MONITORING SYSTEM, Colorado. - Designed, installed a ground water monitoring system for the Southern Ute Tribe Energy Resource Division Coal Bed Methane Field, located in the San Juan Basin, Southwestern Colorado. The project included the installation of deep monitoring wells to monitoring the performance of dewatering operations and generation and pressure of methane and hydrogen sulfide gases near the outcrops.
  • GROUNDWATER TECHNOLOGY INC. (GTI), PHASE I AND II SITE INVESTIGATION STUDIES FOR HYDROCARBON CONTAMINATION OF GROUND WATER, Colorado and Massachusetts. Performed phase I and II site investigation studies and developed monitoring programs for numerous projects concerning volatile organic hydrocarbon (including BTEX) contamination of ground water systems. Clients included Amoco, Chevron, Shell, Public Service Company of Colorado, and other independent operators.
  • PARK ENVIROTECH. Hydrogeologic site investigation and installation of monitoring system for gas and diesel contaminated ground water for St. Anthony's Hospital, Denver, Colorado.
